1. Mechanical Draughtsperson
   Location: Remote & Site-Based (Rustenburg, NW, ZA) | Duration: 3 Months
   Industry: Heavy Industrial – Platinum Mining Operations

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsperson to support a high-impact mechanical engineering project within a platinum mining environment. This short-term contract role involves producing accurate, high-quality engineering drawings for heavy mechanical structures, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety regulations, and industrial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and revise detailed mechanical drawings for structural and piping layouts, assemblies, and components
• Interpret engineering sketches and technical instructions from engineers
• Ensure drawing compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ISO, SANS, ASME)
• Collaborate closely with engineering and site teams for updates and revisions
• Prepare documentation for fabrication, manufacturing, and site installation
• Manage drawing control and versioning throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a draughtsperson in mechanical/heavy industrial environments
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
• Understanding of mechanical systems and structural detailing in mining or plant settings
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Qualification in Draughting or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
• Must be available for immediate or short-notice engagement

Hybrid collaboration (remote drafting + frequent site visits, as and when needed)

Contract duration: 3 months
